an unusual sunday

Had one of the first Sunday’s in a long time not spent at my parents house watching movies and having a braai. Feel sort of out of place! But instead of visiting granny we went to visit scaredmom : )

I can’t tell you exactly how I started chatting to her; it might have been on twitter or I might have stumbled upon her blog first but whatever the order we got a chatting. You know the kind, a comment here and a tweet there, the past week or two we’ve been chatting a lot more and seeing as neither of us had plans fish and I got into the car and headed for the other side of the infamous “boerewors gordyn”.

Amandalynn and Lorelai are too gorgeous for words and so well behaved that I might send fish off for some super nanny adjustments!

Thank you C for the lovely lunch and the chatting. Hope I didn’t talk your ear off TOO much!

And then after leaving scaredmom’s house I saw the sun starting to set, popped passed the house to pick Ian up (who is in Cape Town for the first time and staying with me till his skippers course is done) and decided to head to the beach for an ice cream. Screw the finances, sometimes it just needs to be done, plus I know how much fish enjoys the Sunday treat.
